     still race), the background holder is detached from the caller's
     stdio, so that it never keeps a caller's pipe open (sbuild captures

     for its end forever on the acquire call), and the holder records
     the PID of the calling process, exiting by itself when the caller
     is gone, so that an aborted build never leaves the lock held. Unit
